Cremation
Every Golden Charter plan includes an allowance of £700 towards the cost of cremation and, where applicable, the fees of doctors and clergy. If the cost of cremation in your area exceeds this allowance, the difference can be covered through the Personalisation option.
Burial
Because the cost and availability varies widely throughout the country, our plans do not include the purchase of burial plots, although an allowance of £700 is included towards the opening of a new or existing grave and the fees of doctors and clergy. Special arrangements may have to be made through the Select Reserve option. Your selected funeral director will advise you on this.
Religious Services
Each plan covers fees for clergy attending at the crematorium or cemetery. If you wish for a religious service, the cost of using the place of worship, heating or an organist or choir can be included through the Personalisation option.
